Who we are
Brisbane Wall Guide (brisbanewallguide.com.au) is run by Taylor Made Media Pty Ltd (ACN 701 620 144, ABN 14 701 620 144), 48 Jane St, West End QLD 4101. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Taylor Made Media. We are not a builder. We pass quote requests to a local builder who holds the right QBCC licence for the job. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote, we collect what you enter in the form: your suburb and postcode, the type of job, when you want it done, a budget band, a description of the job, your name, mobile number and email address, and a photo if you choose to upload one. We also record the date and time, the page you used, your tick in the consent box (with the wording you agreed to) and your IP address, so we can stop spam and keep a record of your request.
Like most websites, our web server keeps technical logs of visits (IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time) for security and fault-finding.
You can stay anonymous
You can read this site without telling us who you are. To get a quote, we need your name and a way to contact you, because the builder has to be able to reach you.
How we use it
- To check your request is genuine and in our service area, and pass it to one local builder.
- To email you a confirmation with your reference number, and tell you which builder has your request.
- To keep a record of the request and what happened to it, for example whether the builder contacted you.
- To answer your questions and deal with any complaint.
We don't use your details for marketing, and we don't sell them.
Automated checks
When you send the form, our software automatically checks whether your postcode is in our service area, your timeline and budget band, whether there is a job description and a usable mobile number, and whether you sent the same request in the last 30 days. It also applies a monthly limit on how many requests the builder takes. If a request passes, it is sent to the builder automatically. If it doesn't, it is stored but not sent, our team still sees it, and your confirmation email tells you no builder has been sent it yet. You can email us to ask for a person to look at it again.
Who we share it with
- One local builder. We send your request (name, mobile, email, suburb and postcode, job details and budget band) to one local builder who holds the right QBCC licence for the job, so they can contact you about a quote. We'll email you the builder's business name and licence number. If you uploaded a photo, we may share it with that builder for your quote. Photos are never published.
- Our service providers, who handle it only to provide their service to us:
- BinaryLane, which hosts our web server in Australia. Your request and any photo are stored there.
- Resend, which delivers our emails. Our emails are sent from Resend's Tokyo (Japan) sending region, and Resend stores email records in the United States.
- Google, which provides our business email (Google Workspace). Google may store data in the United States and other countries.
- Anyone the law requires or authorises us to give it to.
We don't share it with anyone else. Because of these providers, your details may be stored or handled in Japan and the United States as well as Australia. We use providers that publish security and data-protection terms.
How we protect it
Requests are stored in a database on our server in Australia. Only Taylor Made Media can get into the server, using key-based login, and the site uses HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access or change.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months and then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Web server logs are kept for a shorter time.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email contact@taylormademedia.ai (quote your reference number if you have one) to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we'll reply within 30 days. If we've already passed your request to a builder, we'll tell you who, so you can contact them too.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your information, email contact@taylormademedia.ai or write to us at the address below. We'll aim to answer within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Emails from us
We only send emails about your request. We don't send marketing emails.
